Field Service Technician
Full-time, Permanent
Location: Vancouver Island / Victoria, BC (Candidates must reside within the Vancouver Island / Victoria region or within approximately 1 hour of the assigned territory.)
- Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed: 40 hours a week
- Base Salary: $26.38/hr. and can go up to $40/hr. for highly experienced candidates
- Additional Gas License Premium: $0.90/hr.
- Overtime paid daily after 8 hours (1.5x for first 4 OT hours 2x after that)

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, calibrate and maintain commercial food service equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas systems
• Perform field service and preventative maintenance at customer sites throughout Vancouver Island
• Respond to service calls and provide technical support to customers
• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and promptly
• Maintain company vehicle, tools and inventory
• Attend training programs as required
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to service customer equipment
• Available for overtime and participation in an on-call rotation as required
• Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally
Qualifications
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of technical service experience
• Valid BC Gas Fitter License (mandatory upon hire)
• Excellent driving record
• Willingness and ability to travel for training
• Strong communication for service-related situations
• Must reside on Vancouver Island; Victoria area preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
• Experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment, dishwashers, ovens, and food service equipment is strongly preferred
• Experience with HVAC equipment, gas barbecues, small appliances, mixers, choppers, scales, or similar serviceable equipment considered an asset
• Ability to work independently in a home-based dispatch environment
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced service environment
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime as required
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities
