Opportunity Overview

To support our retail store operations, we are seeking a highly skilled, experienced Assistant Store Manager that will drive operational excellence, with hands on leadership and guidance for our store soon to be relocated.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail footwear store. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining inventory, and upholding store standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store
  • Supervise and motivate employees to perform at their
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide
  • Address employee concerns and resolve
  • Ensure the team delivers outstanding customer
  • Handle customer complaints and issues
  • Train staff on customer service best practices and product
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store
  • Assist in setting and achieving sales
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and implement action plans for
  • Execute promotional campaigns and suggest marketing strategies to increase
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and manage store
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure stock is maintained at optimal
  • Conduct regular stock checks and manage
  • Coordinate with the Store Manager and suppliers for stock
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and
  • Ensure the store is visually appealing and adheres to brand
  • Implement visual merchandising plans and promotional
  • Monitor and adjust product placement to maximize
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and
  • Maintain store security and safety
  • Oversee store opening and closing
  • Prepare reports on sales, staff performance, and other operational
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and performing tasks that require physical exertion.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software.
  • Attributes: Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
