Location: Mississauga, ON – Hybrid 3 days in office
Hours: Monday – Friday – 40 hr. work week
Salary: Up to $155K
Bonus structure: annual only 30%
Travel: Approximately 40% National/International travel as required

Our client is a leading Canadian supplier of automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial products. They are seeking a full-time Strategic Account Manager. As a key direct report to the Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of all sales activities for all products directed through the Aftermarket channel.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Strategic Account Manager – Aftermarket will lead the planning and execution of all sales activities within the Aftermarket channel. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for driving strategy, revenue, market share, and profitability.
You will maximize sales coverage efficiency, build and maintain senior-level relationships with head offices, franchise groups, and key customers, and ensure targeted distribution levels for strategic initiatives. This role is perfect for a results-driven, relationship-focused sales leader who thrives on shaping strategy, driving growth, and making a tangible impact in a dynamic marketplace.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Lead direct and indirect sales teams to develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans by brand, category, customer, and market, delivering on volume, share, and profit objectives
- Direct all activities in your area to maximize profitable market share
- Maintain and grow customer relationships through meaningful engagement with key accounts, including frequent personal meetings, formal business reviews with senior management, and guiding team efforts
- Develop and manage channel budgets, controlling costs while maximizing sales and profits; evaluate program spending to ensure maximum ROI
- Continuously assess customer sales, marketing, and promotional activities, as well as competitive actions impacting performance
- Partner with Supply Chain to optimize distribution and replenishment strategies for both standard and promotional shipments
- Build and maintain a comprehensive distribution strategy for the Aftermarket customer base to maximize sales and minimize customer conflicts
- Collaborate with Marketing to identify and execute strategic initiatives, including tailored programs and promotions
- Work with Finance to ensure timely and accurate reporting on expenses, sales, forecasts, and other business-critical data
- Keep senior leadership informed on all business activities, opportunities, and challenges
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Care, and Supply Chain teams to drive efficient decision-making and business development
- Lead and participate in special projects as required

Qualifications
Education/Experience
- University degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years in sales or marketing management.
- Experience selling consumer and commercial automotive lubricants (or related industry) in retail channels.
- Proven ability in sales/marketing management including creative and fact-based selling, merchandising, administration, and experience selling to direct and indirect buying headquarter accounts.
- Experience in selling consumer packaged goods an asset.
- Senior level P&L management preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Suite experience.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
