Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Bradford, ON, On-site
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with a ½ hour lunch break. Some additional hours may be required during busy periods, planning, or company events.
Salary: Up to $54K

Responsibilities
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and organized Facility Cleaning/Light Maintenance & Sample Room Support Associate. This role provides essential support to facility operations by ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained workplace while assisting with sample room organization and sample order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and able to perform light maintenance tasks safely, maintain cleanliness standards, and manage sample room inventory efficiently.
This job is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining a clean and functional workspace, and are comfortable performing light maintenance while supporting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Cleaning & Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform routine floor care.
- Empty trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal.
- Clean kitchen, appliances, dishwashers, replace mugs kitchenettes, replace
- Water jugs, maintain/clean coffee machines.
- Ensure supplies (washroom/kitchen/coffee) are available.
- Clean windows, fixtures, and other surfaces as required.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management of restocking needs.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and sanitation standards.
Light Maintenance Support
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance (door handles, hinges, shelves).
- Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and minor electrical fixtures.
- Conduct minor plumbing fixes (tighten faucets, unclog sinks/toilets).
- Patch minor wall damage and perform painting touch-ups as needed.
- Maintain equipment, carts, and tools used in the facility.
- Inspect areas for hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs
Sample Room Support
- Sort, select & mate samples, organize on shelving for inventory and track sample arrival and process by picking inventory for agents or for sale in outlet store.
- Assist with the preparation and staging of sample items in showrooms for customer or internal use.
- Ensure the sample room remains clean, orderly, and accessible.
- Assist sales teams with sample pulls and returns.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with light warehouse cleaning or maintenance if required
- Report major facility issues promptly to management.
- Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and WHMIS procedures.
- Support team initiatives and help maintain a positive, collaborative workplace.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in facility cleaning & light maintenance (preferred).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools.
- Ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
- Self-starter and motivated to complete tasks with the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with WHMIS and workplace safety practices preferred.
Work Environment
- Light industrial / distribution facility, with sample room and office areas.
- Frequent walking, standing, and occasional lifting of moderate weight.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals (proper PPE provided).
- Team-oriented environment requiring cross-functional cooperation.
